Become an Exchange Student

A Day in the Life of an NWSE Student

group4
Your host family is the center of your exchange experience. Join your host family in their daily life for new activities, meals, hobbies and other activities. Share your experiences from school, your extracurricular activities, or the time you spent with friends putting your language skills to use.

Make new friends at your new school and improve your language skills (…you’ll be receiving instruction and doing school assignments in your host country’s language.) Begin to feel at home living as an insider abroad!

Exchange students commonly participate in a variety of activities at their host schools: service clubs, sports teams, music, theater, study groups, etc.

Accompany your host family to local points of interest, movies, fairs, excursions, professional sport events… Also consider pursuing  existing interests or hobbies, and exploring new ones!

The more you get involved, the more you’ll enjoy your exchange experience. How quickly you bond with your host family and community is up to you: high levels of positive energy, eagerness and commitment typically lead to great success, enjoyment and personal growth.
